"The Well-Oiled Machine"
What we see masquerading as the church is, at best, but a dim reflection of the Lord's intention. Lenny Bruce said, "Every day people are straying from the church and going back to God. " Someone said, 'What do you mean by church?" I'm talking about the church of our creation, the church created in our own image - our own Frankenstein. I'm talking about the man-made insititution we call church. I'm talking about the club, the structure, the established entity we vainly try to infuse atrificial life into each week with our hyped-up praise music, our social programs disguised as ministry, and the self-affirming, feel-good speeches we attempt to pass off as Spirit-empowered sermons. I'm talking about the Well-Oiled Machine. We look so good, but like Wendy's commercial, the question begs to be asked......'Where's the Beef?' The church is miseerably failing.......we live in a Post-Christian society. The church needs a renewal and a reformation. God help us!

So you've entered the world of blogging. I'm glad to be able to have another way to hear your heart. "The Well-Oiled Machine", I hear you, media and programs are great tools available for todays church and not bad in-and-of themselves, but if void of true inspiration and connection with God can be empty.Thank God, He makes His power available to bring us up and out of the status quo.
